IT Network Engineer (Cisco Meraki, Fortinet Firewalls)

Salary $115-125k

Hybrid: 1 office day a week in Rosemont office

An international water solutions company is looking for a IT Network Engineer based out of Rosemont, Illinois to join their dynamic team. They are keen on strong hands-on experience using Fortinet and/or Cisco to build out firewalls for multiple locations in a large enterprise environment.

Responsibilities:

• Investigates and resolves business system impacts focused on infrastructure enablement.
• Be responsible for resolving escalated services issues and complex network problems
• Think outside the box to implement innovative and effective network solutions
• Responsible for configuring and provisioning new locations
• Responsible for documenting new and existing network configurations including system diagrams, and operational support documents and assist in training other team members
• Work with the team to ensure project deliverables are completed efficiently
• Automate repeatable tasks and deployments
• Deliver solutions to complex problems in a global environment
• Design and implement changes within Contact Center/telephony solution

Requirements:

• 4+ years of relevant business experience as a network engineer in a corporate IT environment
• Experience managing complex multi-site network environments geographically dispersed
• Experience scoping network requirements for new sites including planning and executing the configuration and deployment and building of firewalls, switching and wireless stack
• Experience using technologies similar to FortiManager to manage firewalls consistently across a wide landscape of firewalls
• Experience configuring and deploying Meraki network solutions (switching/wireless) including configuration 802.1x authentication, VLANs and network ACLs/policies
• Experience with SaaS voice platforms
• Experience configuring and supporting network monitoring solutions to ensure adequate alerting for network incidents
• NSE 4 certification preferred but not required

Requirements:

• Bachelors Degree in Information Technology or equivalent work experience
• 3-5 years of relevant business experience as a network engineer in a corporate IT environment
• Experience managing complex multi-site network environments geographically dispersed
• Experience scoping network requirements for new sites including planning and executing the configuration and deployment of firewalls, switching and wireless stack
