Senior Financial Analyst – $80-100,000 – East Coast (Remote)

As the Senior Financial Analyst for this leading medical research organisation, you will be responsible for projecting financial performance, budgeting, internal and external financial reporting. The ongoing challenge is to develop insights from data to learn and clearly communicate your findings to add value to the business.

Based on the East Coast, this client are open to candidates based anywhere within the US as long as you are committed to working Eastern Time Zone working hours.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or finance degree is required
• 4+ plus years of experience in a financial planning and analysis role, public accounting audit role or other relevant consulting experience
• Highly skilled in Excel, including pivot tables, macros and complex formulas
• Solid understanding of US GAAP and financial statements
• Experience with an FP&A software, including but not limited to the following CPM tools (Prophix, Vena, OneStream, Oracle EPM, Adaptive Planning, Planful)
• Adept with data visualization software (Power BI)
• Experience manipulating and analyzing large datasets, using SQL, Python, R, or SAS
• Strong ability presenting and delivering content clearly and concisely

Responsibilities:

• Analyze historical financial and operational data to develop annual budgets and regular forecasts
• Support the month-end accounting close process and analytics
• Review actual financial results against forecasted data and determine causes of variances
• Build and validate models from large datasets
• Make strategic recommendations for solutions to business problems
• Improve operational and analytical efficiency
• Provide clear interpretation and presentation of financial data and analysis to stakeholders
• Prepare required financial reporting packages and assist with year-end audit functions.
